Ch. 60 1997 LAWS OF MARYLAND

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Government

9-907.

(a) (1) The Commission consists of the following [25] 26 members:

(i) as an ex officio member, the Chairman of the Maryland Veterans'
Home Commission; and

(ii) [24] 25 members appointed by the Governor.
(2) Of the [24] 25 appointed members:

(i) 1 shall be appointed from each of the 8 congressional districts in

the State;

(ii) 1 shall be appointed from the State at large; and

(iii) 1 shall be appointed from a list of individuals submitted to the
Governor by each of the following organizations:

1. the American Ex-Prisoners of War, Inc.;

2. the American Legion;

3. the Amvets;

4. the Catholic War Veterans;

5. the Disabled American Veterans;

6. the Fleet Reserve Association;

7. the Jewish War Veterans;

8. the Marine Corps League;

9. the Maryland Retired Officers Association;

10. the Military Order of the Purple Heart;

11. THE PEARL HARBOR SURVIVORS ASSOCIATION;
[11.] 12. the Polish-American War Veterans;

[12.] 13. the Veterans of Foreign Wars;

[13.] 14. the Veterans of World War I;

[14.] 15. the Vietnam Veterans of America; and

[15.] 16. the Korean War Veterans Association, Inc.
