THE PROCEEDINGS MAY APPEAL FROM THE ORDER OR REPORT IN THE TIME AND
MANNER PROVIDED IN THIS ARTICLE FOR APPEALS FROM ORDERS OF THE
COMMISSIONER GENERALLY.

ACTS OR PRACTICES.

27-201. DEFINED.

THE COMMISSION OF AN ACT PROHIBITED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE IS DEFINED
AS AN UNFAIR METHOD OF COMPETITION AND AN UNFAIR AND DECEPTIVE ACT OR
PRACTICE IN THE BUSINESS OF INSURANCE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48A, § 214.

The reference to an act prohibited under "this subtitle" is substituted for the
former reference to an act prohibited by former Art. 48A, "§§ 217 to 234,
inclusive". This subtitle includes only those acts prohibited by former Art.
48A, §§ 217 to 234 as those provisions existed in 1963, when former Art. 48A,
§ 214 was enacted. No substantive change is intended.
