15-1303. ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS AN INTERDEPARTMENTAL COMMITTEE ON MANDATED HEALTH
INSURANCE BENEFITS ASSIGNED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL
HYGIENE.

15-1304. MEMBERSHIP.

(A) COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.
THE COMMITTEE CONSISTS OF:

(1) THREE EXECUTIVE BRANCH MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE

GOVERNOR;

(2) TWO MEMBERS OF THE SENATE DESIGNATED BY THE PRESIDENT OF
THE SENATE; AND

(3) TWO MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES DESIGNATED BY THE
SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE.

(B) EXECUTIVE BRANCH MEMBERS.

THE GOVERNOR SHALL CHOOSE THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH MEMBERS FROM
AMONG:

(1) THE DEPARTMENT OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT;

(2) THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE; AND

(3) THE ADMINISTRATION.

(C) DESIGNEES.

AN OFFICIAL APPOINTED UNDER SUBSECTION (A)(1) OF THIS SECTION MAY
APPOINT A DESIGNEE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 48A, § 490M(b)(2), (3), and (4).

In the introductory language of subsection (b) of this section, the reference to
the "Governor" choosing the Executive Branch members is added for clarity.

Also in the introductory language of subsection (b) of this section, the former
reference to "3" Executive Branch members is deleted as unnecessary in light
of subsection (a)(1) of this section.

In subsection (b)(3) of this section, the reference to the "Administration" is
