It is the intent of the General Assembly that
Correctional Education Vocational and
General Education Development Test
(GED) programs be funded in the fiscal
1997 budget. In addition, the Governor
should reevaluate the budget proposals for
disruptive youth programs and the external
diploma program to ensure that adequate
funding is provided for these programs.

Funds are appropriated in the Department of
Public Safety and Correctional Services
budget to pay for services provided by this
program. Authorization is hereby granted to
use these receipts as special funds for
operating expenses in this program.
