AN EMERGENCY ACT to:

(1)     provide for the appointment of members of the Commission on the
Humanities by the County Executive subject to confirmation by the County
Council;

(2)     require the Department of Public Libraries to provide staff support to the
Commission;

(3)     broaden the responsibility of the Commission to provide advice and reports to
the County Executive; [[and]]

(4)     extend the terms of certain Commission members and the sunset date of the
Commission law; and

[[(4)]](5) generally amend County law regarding the Commission on the
Humanities.
