LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 95-2

Resolution of the Town of University Park, Maryland, pursuant to the authority of
Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, as amended, to amend certain provisions of the Charter of
the Town of University Park, by repealing and re-enacting Article VII, Section 701,
"Clerk-Treasurer", to expand the investment vehicles that the Town may utilize to invest
Town funds.

[Section 701 of the Charter of the Town of University Park, Prince George's
County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal
Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 1995 Supplement), repealed and reenacted,
with amendments.

SECOND AMENDED LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION 96-3

Resolution of the Town of University Park, Maryland, pursuant to the authority of
Article XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, as amended, to amend certain provisions of the Charter of
the Town of University Park, by repealing and re-enacting Article V, Section 504,
"Elections", to change the manner in which the date and hours for the general election
are chosen, to clarify the requirement that poll watchers be permitted, and to make
certain technical numbering changes. Specifically, the date and hours for the general
election will be set by the Common Council at or before the general meeting in February
each year. If the Council fails to do this on or before that date, the election will be held
on the first Tuesday in May, and the hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The
minimum hours of 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. are also mandated.
