the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters (1990
Replacement Edition and 1995 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

CHARTER AMENDMENT - QUALIFICATION OF VOTERS
FOR the purpose of amending the Municipal Charter of Highland Beach to provide that
a qualified voter of the town is a person who is a citizen of the United States, will be at
least 18 years old on or before the date of the next town election, and is (1) an individual
who has resided within the corporate limits at his or her voter registration address not less
than 30 days after the previous town election and preceding the next town election, or (2)
a legal resident of the town who is registered to vote in Anne Arundel County; clarifying
that the 30 days during which an individual resides within the corporate limits need not be
consecutive; and generally relating to the qualification of voters in the Town of Highland
Beach.
