SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1)     In accordance with Title 19 of the Education Article, the Maryland Center for
the Performing Arts, University of Maryland College Park (Prince George's County) is
hereby approved as a project for an academic "facility and the University of Maryland
System may issue, sell and deliver bonds in the total principal amount of $23,500,000 for
the purposes of financing and refinancing the cost of the project.

(2)     In accordance with Title 19 of the Education Article, each of the following
capital facilities renewal projects (statewide) is hereby approved as a project for an
academic facility, and the University of Maryland System may issue, sell and deliver bonds
in the total principal amount of $16,500,000 for the purposes of financing and refinancing
the cost of these projects:

(A)    University of Maryland at Baltimore
(Baltimore City)

(1)     Mechanical Infrastructure Replacement: Various Buildings

(2)     Research and Office Space Improvements: Howard Hall

(3)     Electrical Distribution System Expansion: Campuswide

(4)     Window Replacement: Various Buildings

(5)     Lead Paint Removal and Restoration: Davidge Hall

(B)    University of Maryland College Park
(Prince George's County)

(1)     Utility System Improvements: Campuswide, Phased

(2)     Space Alterations and Modifications: Campuswide, Phased

(3)     HVAC Upgrade: Art-Sociology Building

(4)     Installation: Satellite Central Utilities Building #4

(5)     Chilled Water Piping Replacement: Tawes Fine Arts Building

(6)     Improvements: Steam Plant Boiler #4

(7)     Portico Replacement: Computer Science

(8)     Utility Connections: Computer and Space Sciences Building and
Jull Hall

(9)     HVAC System Improvements: Campuswide, Phased
