GLENDENING, Governor J.R. 5 WHEREAS, NASCAR will bring tourist, recreational, and corporate investment WHEREAS, NASCAR will generate employment opportunities through WHEREAS, Eastern Baltimore County already possesses the rail, highway, air, WHEREAS, Local and State governments have identified the Middle River area RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the State RESOLVED, That the Governor is urged to appoint a Task Force to work with the (1) Two members of the Maryland House of Delegates, selected by the (2) Two members of the Senate of Maryland, selected by the President of (3) The Councilmember serving on the Baltimore County Council from the (4) One representative of the Essex-Middle River Chamber of Commerce; (5) One representative of the Eastern Baltimore Area Chamber of (6) One representative of the Baltimore County Executive's Office; (7) Four citizen members: (i) One of whom shall be from the Middle River Racing Association; (ii) One of whom shall be from the Essex-Middle River area; and (iii) Two of whom shall be selected as the Governor considers (8) Three representatives from Baltimore County area motor sports clubs: - 3887 -
