GLENDENING, Governor Ch. 641 Annotated Code of Maryland (1992 Replacement Volume and 1995 Supplement) BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 9-1708 BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Chapter 396 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1995 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF Article 26A - Criminal Injuries Compensation Act 17. (a) (1) In this section the following words have the meanings indicated. (2) "Crime" means an act committed by a person in the State that is: (i) A crime under Article 27 of the Code; (ii) A violation of the Transportation Article which is punishable by (iii) A crime at common law.
