(6) THE FUND SHALL BE SUBJECT TO AN AUDIT BY THE DIVISION OF
OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE AUDITS AS PROVIDED UNDER § 2-1215 OF THE STATE
GOVERNMENT ARTICLE
(7) THIS SECTION MAY NOT BE CONSTRUED TO PROHIBIT THE FUND
FROM RECEIVING FUNDS FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE.
(B) THE FUND SHALL BE USED TO FUND THE VICTIM AND WITNESS
PROTECTION AND RELOCATION PROGRAM UNDER § 770 OF THIS ARTICLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, in Fiscal Year 1996, any
unspent balance of an appropriation to the Victim and Witness Protection and
Relocation Program shall revert to the Victim and Witness Protection and Relocation
Fund.
SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October July 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning
Consumer Protection - Prizes and Gifts
FOR the purpose of repealing a certain provision of law that prohibits a person from
notifying another person, as part of an advertising scheme or plan, that the other
person has won a prize, received an award, or has been selected to receive anything
of value if the other person is required to purchase goods or services, pay money to
participate in. or submit to a sales promotion effort providing a limited exception to
certain provisions of law prohibiting offers of prizes and gifts conditioned on
purchasing goods or services; making conforming changes; and generally relating to
offers of prizes and gifts.
