SALESPERSON, AN interest of a licensee in a business through which real estate
brokerage services are provided shall include any interest in the business held by an
immediate family member of the licensee.
(3) NOTWITHSTANDING PARAGRAPH (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION, 50% OF
THE INTEREST IN A BUSINESS MAY BE HELD BY A SINGLE ASSOCIATE REAL ESTATE
BROKER OR BY A SINGLE REAL ESTATE SALESPERSON.
(c) Except as to the limitation of interest of the professional service corporation
in a business through which real estate brokerage services are provided, this section does
not affect the formation of a professional service corporation by associate real estate
brokers and real estate salespersons authorized by § 17-512 of this subtitle.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October June 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning
Registration of Retail Service Station Dealers - Extension of Conversion Moratorium
FOR the purpose of extending to a certain date the conditional moratorium on the
registration of retail service station dealers whose service stations are altered,
enlarged, or structurally modified; altering the circumstances under which the
Comptroller is authorized to issue a certificate of registration to a certain retail
service station dealer; providing for the effective date of the Act; and generally
relating to retail service station dealers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(a) The Comptroller may not issue a certificate of registration to a retail service
station dealer who markets motor fuel through a retail service station altered, enlarged,
or structurally modified after July 1, 1977, and before [October 1, 1996] OCTOBER 1,
2000, unless:
