8-403.

(e) On or before November 30 of the 2nd year before the evaluation date of a
governmental activity or unit, the Legislative Policy Committee may waive as unnecessary
the evaluation required under this section.

(L) EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (E) OF THIS SECTION,
ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 2001 2000 AN EVALUATION SHALL BE MADE OF THE STATE
BOARD OF COSMETOLOGISTS AND THE REGULATIONS THAT RELATE TO THE STATE
BOARD OF CO
SMETOLOGISTS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October July 1, 1996.

CHAPTER 389

(Senate Bill 353)

AN ACT concerning

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation - Board of Directors

FOR the purpose of altering the membership of the Board of Directors of the University
of Maryland Medical System Corporation by providing for a range in the number of
voting members on the Board.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Education
Section 13-1B-04(b)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1992 Replacement Volume and 1995 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

13-1B-04.

(b) The Board of Directors consists of 6 nonvoting members and NOT LESS THAN
22 AND NOT MORE THAN 32 27 voting members appointed by the Governor.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1996.
