(3)     an employee of the Northeast Maryland Waste Disposal Authority; OR

(4)     AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR WHO PERFORMS SERVICE UNDER §
21-303(C) OF THE EDUCATION ARTICLE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County Revenue Authority - Appointment Process

FOR the purpose of providing that appointments to the Baltimore County Revenue
Authority by the County Executive of Baltimore County are subject to the advice
and consent of the Baltimore County Council; providing that the appointment of the
chairman is subject to the advice and consent of the Council; deleting obsolete
language and making stylistic changes; and generally relating to the appointment
process for the Baltimore County Revenue Authority.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 3 - Baltimore County

30-2.

(A)    There is hereby created a body corporate and politic to be known as the
"Baltimore County Revenue Authority," which shall be deemed an instrumentality of the
county and a public corporation.

(B)     The authority shall consist of five [(5)] members to be appointed by the
[county executive, each of whom] COUNTY EXECUTIVE, WITH THE ADVICE AND
CONSENT OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL
