1996 LAWS OF MARYLAND

Corporation, credit life, health, and involuntary unemployment benefit insurance,
life insurance and annuities, variable contracts, group life insurance, property and
casualty insurance including required coverage under motor vehicle insurance, the
Fire Insurance Application Act, lead hazard coverage for rental property, the
Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund, surety insurance, title insurance, premium
financing, the Legal Mutual Liability Insurance Society of Maryland, the Medical
Mutual Liability Insurance Society of Maryland, the Risk Retention Act,
agricultural group policies, group self-insurance for workers' compensation, the
Maryland Property Insurance Availability Act, and motor clubs; providing for a
delayed effective date; and. generally relating to the insurance laws of the State.

through 20-701, inclusive, to be under the new title "Title 20. Maryland
Automobile Insurance Fund"; 21-101 through 21-102, inclusive, to be under
the new title "Title 21. Surety Insurance"; 22-101 through 22-103, inclusive, to
be under the new title "Title 22. Title Insurance"; 23-101 through 23-506,
inclusive, to be under the new title "Title 23. Premium Financing"; 24-101
through 24-210, inclusive, to be under the new title "Title 24. State Created
Mutual Societies"; 25-101 through 25-411, inclusive, to be under the new title
"Title 25. Alternative Market Mechanisms"; and 26-101 through 26-502,
inclusive, to be under the new title "Title 26. Motor Clubs".

CONDITION.

9-101. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.

THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE THAT APPLY TO AUTHORIZED INSURERS
ALSO APPLY TO NONPROFIT HEALTH SERVICE PLANS AND HEALTH MAINTENANCE
ORGANIZATIONS.
