the Labor and Employment Article.

SECTION 12. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

Article - State Personnel and Pensions

2-202.

(a) The Secretary shall submit to the Governor and, subject to § 2-1312 of the
State Government Article, to the General Assembly an annual report for each fiscal year
that:

(7) indicates the categories and amounts of leave taken by [State]
employees IN THE STATE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM;

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Overly broad statement of the jurisdiction of the Secretary of
Personnel in § 2-202(a)(7) of the State Personnel and Pensions Article.

Occurred: Ch. 662, Acts of 1994.

SECTION 13. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 7 of this Act may
not take effect until a similar Act is passed by the Commonwealth of Virginia; that the
Commonwealth of Virginia is requested to concur in Section 7 of this Act of the General
Assembly of Maryland by the passage of a similar Act; and that upon that event the
Governor of the State of Maryland shall issue a proclamation declaring Section 7 of this
Act valid and effective.

SECTION 14. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Annotated Code
has been corrected to reflect the changes necessitated by Chapter 120 of the Acts of 1995.
Validation of these changes and implementation of Section 19 of Chapter 120 of the Acts
of 1995 are ratified by passage of this Act.

SECTION 15. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Michie Company,
publishers of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as amended, shall present
the following articles of the Annotated Code as having been repealed in their entirety,
