zone signs may be posted to protect the State park camping area in hunting seasons.

(E-1) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS PART II OF THIS
SUBTITLE THE DESIGNATION OF AN AREA AS A WILDLAND MAY NOT BE CONSTRUED TO
PRECLUDE:
                                                                               

(1) THE NORMAL MAINTENANCE OF AN ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION LINE,
DISTRIBUTION LINE. TELEPHONE LINE, NATURAL GAS LINE OR OTHER ABOVE GROUND
OR UNDERGROUND LINE, OR OF ANY EASEMENT HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH SUCH
LINE, IN THE MANNER SUCH LINE OR EASEMENT IS NORMALLY MAINTAINED; OR

(2) THE UPGRADING OR EXPANSION OF ANY ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION
LINE DISTRIBUTION LINE. TELEPHONE LINE NATURAL GAS LINE, OR OTHER ABOVE
GROUND OR UNDERGROUND LINE IF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LINE HAD
THE RIGHT. SUBJECT TO ANY REQUIRED APPROVAL TO UPGRADE OR EXPAND THE LINE
IN THE DESIGNATED AREA IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE DESIGNATION OF THE AREA AS
MIDLANDS.

(j) (1) Pursuant to the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, that property
in Allegany County containing approximately [586] 943 acres and described as follows is
a Type 2 State Wildland and shall be named "Rocky Gap Wildland":

[Beginning at a point on the north side of the Old Hancock Road and on the west
side of the Park Road to Rocky Gap Dam; then with the outline of the wildland in a
clockwise direction the following approximate bearings and distances.

Leaving the beginning point and with the north side of the Old Hancock Road
southwesterly 3,000 feet to the Rocky Gap Road. Then with the north side of the latter
road, northwesterly 1,500 feet, then northerly 1,500 feet, then northwesterly 650 feet to
the Park boundary.                 

Then leaving the road and with the Park boundary, southeasterly 900 feet, then
easterly 875 feet, then northerly 300 feet, then westerly 600 feet.

Then northeasterly 1,200 feet, then northwesterly 550 feet, then northeasterly 4,750
feet, then northerly in two courses, 525 and 1,000 feet, then westerly 50 feet, then again
northerly 1,800 feet to the Mason-Dixon Line.

Then with the Line and still with the Park boundary, east 2,550 feet to an
unimproved forest road. Then leaving the Park boundary and with the west margin of the
road southwesterly 5,675 feet, then southerly 475 feet, then southwesterly in two courses,
1,050 and 1,000 feet, then southerly 800 feet.

Then still with the forest road northeasterly 3,200 feet to a stream hollow, then with
the water course descending, southwesterly 1,300 feet to Rocky Gap Run..

Then leaving Rocky Gap Run and by a straight line southeasterly to the Park Road
to the dam at the southernmost extremity of the dam. Then with the west margin of the
Park Road generally southerly 1,800 feet to the Old Hancock Road and the beginning.]
