1996 LAWS OF MARYLAND

[(1)](I) In Anne Arundel County the fine [shall be] MAY not BE more
than $250.

[(2)] (II) In Worcester County the fine [shall] MAY not be more than
$1,000.

[(g)](B) (1) [In] THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN Allegany County[, it
shall be unlawful].

(2)     THE PROHIBITIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION APPLY after 1 [o'clock]
a.m. on Sunday or between the hours of [1:00] 1 a.m. and [7:00] 7 a.m. on other days[,
for any].

(3)     (I) A person [to] MAY NOT consume any alcoholic beverages on any
[premises]:

1.       PREMISES open to the general public[, any place];

2.       PLACE operated as a club[, any place];

3.       PLACE of public entertainment[,]; or [any place]

4.       PLACE at which setups or other component parts of mixed
alcoholic drinks are sold under any license issued under the provisions of Article 2B[;
and it shall also be unlawful for any].

(II) AN owner, operator, or manager of [said] THE premises [to]
MAY NOT permit [such] THAT consumption. [In addition, it shall be unlawful, at any
time in Allegany County, for any]

(4)     (I) A person [to] MAY NOT possess or consume any alcoholic
beverage on any premises WHICH IS not licensed under Article 2B BUT which is open to
the general public and is operated as a club, a place of public [entertainment]
ENTERTAINMENT, or a place where setups or other component parts of mixed alcoholic
drinks are sold[; and it shall also be unlawful for any].

(II) AN owner, operator, or manager of [any such] THE premises [to]
MAY NOT permit [such] THAT consumption or possession.

(5)     Any person [violating] WHO VIOLATES the provisions of this
subsection [shall be deemed] IS guilty of a misdemeanor and [upon conviction thereof
shall] MAY be fined not less than [$50.00] $50 nor more than [$500.00] $500 for each
offense.

[(i)] (C) (1) [In] THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN Anne Arundel County!

(2) [if the premises constitute] IN THIS SUBSECTION, "PREMISES" MEANS
a restaurant, tavern, hotel, club, dance studio, disco, or place of public entertainment, or
[on premises] A PLACE open to the general public or [on premises] IN A PLACE in any
way licensed by [the] THIS State [of Maryland] or [Anne Arundel] THE County[, it is
unlawful for any].
