this Act. Any amount of the loan in excess of the amount of the matching fund certified
by the Board of Public Works shall be canceled and be of no further effect.
(6) (a) Prior to the issuance of the bonds, the grantee shall grant and convey to
the Maryland-Historical Trust a perpetual preservation easement to the extent of its
interest:

structures.
(i) On the land or such portion of the land acceptable to the Trust;
(ii) On the exterior and interior, where appropriate, of the historic

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning
Home Improvement Permits
FOR the purpose of prohibiting a county, municipal corporation, or other issuing
authority from issuing a home improvement permit unless the permit application
includes certain disclosures and a certain statement; prohibiting a county, municipal
corporation, or other local issuing authority from issuing a home improvement
permit for home improvement to be performed by a contractor unless the permit
application includes the license number of a licensed contractor, a certain notice,
and a certain signed statement; prohibiting a county, municipal corporation, or
other local issuing authority from issuing a permit for home improvement to be
performed by a property owner unless the permit application contains a certain
signed statement; allowing the required notices and statements to be included in the
permit application or attached to the permit application under certain
circumstances; authorizing a municipal corporation to use all of its existing stock of
. home improvement permit application forms before using forms that include spaces
for the license numbers required under this Act; and generally relating to home
improvement permits.
