Ch. 318                                    1996 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(1989 Replacement Volume and 1995 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Natural Resources

4-738.

(a)     The Department shall prescribe by rules and regulations the methods to catch
snapping turtles.

(b)     A person may not catch or attempt to catch snapping turtles in the tributary
waters of Charles County from April 15 to May 31, inclusive. A person may not use hook
and line and trotline to catch snapping turtles in these waters.

(C) THE DEPARTMENT MAY NOT PROHIBIT THE USE OF TURTLE POTS IN
AREAS WHERE HAUL SEINES NETS ARE PROHIBITED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning

Pesticide Applicator's Law - Fees

FOR the purpose of altering the annual fee for a pest control or pest control consulting
business license under the Pesticide Applicator's Law.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Agriculture
Section 5-207(f)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1985 Replacement Volume and 1995 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Agriculture

5-207.

(f) Each place of business engaged in the business of pest control or pest control
consulting shall pay to the Department an annual license fee of [$100] $125 and shall
provide evidence of financial responsibility as required by the Department.
