(2) (3) develop recommendations for methods to:

(i) reduce costs to consumers of the funeral industry;

(ii) increase consumer involvement and awareness with the funeral

(iii) encourage consumers to make decisions concerning burial before
the need arises; and

(iv) disseminate information to consumers about the available goods,
services, and prices; and

(v) educate the funeral and burial industries about the religious needs
of consumers as they relate to burial practices; and

(vi) properly reinter the remains of individuals discovered in the
development of property; and

(3) (4) propose legislative, regulatory, and other changes required to
implement the recommendations.

(f)     (1) On or before January 1, 1997, the Task Force shall submit an interim
report to the Governor and the General Assembly.

(2) On or before January 1, 1998, the Task Force shall submit its final a
report to the Governor and the General Assembly.

(g)     The Task Force shall terminate on January 1, 1998 1997.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October June 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Garrett County Memorial Hospital

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $375,000, the
proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Directors of Garrett County
Memorial Hospital for certain acquisition, development, or improvement purposes;
providing for the disbursement of the loan proceeds, subject to a requirement that
the grantee provide and expend a matching fund; and providing generally for the
issuance and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
