provisions for the discontinuance of the program; prohibiting inspection of certain
records except in certain circumstances; requiring a certain appropriation for a
certain fiscal year; establishing the terms of the initial members of the Board;
requiring the Board to solicit certain opinions before entering into certain contracts;
and generally relating to establishing a method to provide for the prepayment of
tuition at the public institutions of higher education in the State.
FOR the purpose of establishing a Maryland Prepaid Tuition Savings Program;
establishing a Task Force on the Maryland Prepaid Tuition Savings Program;
specifying the membership, duties, and staffing of the Task Force; requiring the
Task Force to issue a certain report by a certain date; providing for the effective
date of this Act; requiring the Governor to include a certain appropriation in a
certain year; providing for the termination of a certain section of this Act; and
generally relating to the Task Force on the Maryland Prepaid Tuition Savings
Program.
