(B) THERE IS A LENGTH OF SERVICE AWARD PROGRAM FOR QUALIFIED
ACTIVE VOLUNTEER MEMBERS OF THE CALVERT COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE,
RESCUE, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DEPARTMENTS.

14-102.

(f) In the event that a [ qualified] volunteer WHO HAS COMPLETED 25 YEARS
OF CERTIFIED SERVICE dies prior to receiving any benefits under this section, the
surviving spouse of the [ qualified] volunteer is entitled to benefits equal to 50 percent of
the benefits earned by the deceased volunteer. These benefits shall terminate upon death
or remarriage. [A qualified volunteer is an individual who has completed 25 years of
certified service.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning

Agriculture - Plant Disease Control - Civil Penalties

FOR the purpose of altering the definition of "dealer" in certain provisions of law
relating to plant disease control; authorizing the Secretary of Agriculture to impose
a civil penalty on any person who violates the Plant Disease Control Law; and
generally relating to the Plant Disease Control Law.
