The Public Local Laws of Somerset County
Section 2-408

Article 20 - Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1994 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 2-408 of Article 20 - Somerset County of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 2-409.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

Article 20 - Somerset County

2-408.

(A)    THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY SELL THE APPROXIMATELY 14.5
ACRES OF PROPERTY AT COUNTY TAX MAP REFERENCE 16-13-222 (ADJACENT TO THE
PROPERTY
KNOWN AS PRINCESS ANNE INDUSTRIAL PARK LAND) TO ANY PERSON AT
PRIVATE SALE FOR THE PURPOSES OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OR COMMERCIAL
ENTERPRISE UNDER ANY TERMS THAT THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CONSIDER
APPROPRIATE.

(B)     THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 25, § 11A OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF
MARYLAND DO NOT APPLY TO A SALE AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS SECTION.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning

County Boards of Education - Emergency Procurements

FOR the purpose of broadening an exception to a certain requirement for competitive
bidding in procurements by county boards of education; eliminating the
requirement that the emergency repair be required during the regular school year;
and generally relating to emergency procurements by county boards of education.
