RECOMMENDS AS necessary to administer its functions properly. The Director and all
other personnel of the Board shall be employees of Dorchester County. Their salaries
shall [, subject to the approval of] BE SET BY the County Commissioners [of Dorchester
County, be fixed by the Board]. The [Board is also authorized to] COUNTY ALSO MAY
employ personnel on a part-time or temporary basis and may [, in its discretion at any
time,] discharge any person employed by it [, including the Director]. The engagement
of voluntary workers without compensation may also be undertaken by the [Board]
COUNTY upon the recommendation of the Director.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning
Dorchester County - County Administrator
FOR the purpose of renaming the position of Clerk to the County Commissioners of
Dorchester County to County Administrator; providing that the County
Administrator shall serve at the pleasure of the County Commissioners; providing
that certain references to the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners or the
Administrative Assistant to the County Commissioners shall mean the County
Administrator; making stylistic changes; and generally relating to the position of
County Administrator in Dorchester County.

MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
