2-107.

(c) (1) The term of a member is 3 years.

(2)     The terms of members are staggered as required by the terms provided
for members of the State Advisory Board of Juvenile [Services] JUSTICE on July 1, 1982.
The terms of one-third of those members end each year.

(3)     At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is
appointed and qualifies.

(4)     A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the
rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.

(5)     A member who serves 2 consecutive full 3-year terms may not be
reappointed for 3 years after completion of those terms.

(c) The Committee shall:

Department of State Police, the Charles H. Hickey, Jr. School Administration, the
Baltimore County Police Department, the State's Attorney's Office of Baltimore County,
and the Department of Juvenile [Services] JUSTICE; and

Title 4. Juvenile [Services] JUSTICE Facilities Capital Program.

(b)     "Department" means the Department of Juvenile [Services] JUSTICE.

Article 88A - Social Services Administration

(c)     The State Social Services Administration shall exercise supervision, as
hereinafter set forth, over all public and private institutions having the care, custody or
control of dependent, abandoned or neglected children, except those institutions under
the authority of the Department of Juvenile [Services] JUSTICE and those agencies,
persons, or institutions designated by the Department of Juvenile [Services] JUSTICE as
provided for in § 2-114 of Article 83C.

(o) "Intake officer" means the person assigned to the court by the Department of
Juvenile [Services] JUSTICE to provide the intake services set forth in this subtitle.
