23.05.02.01 Capital Appropriation

In addition to the appropriation shown on
page 16 of the printed bill (first reading file
bill), to provide a grant to Montgomery
County to acquire property, relocate
occupants of the structures to be
demolished within the Silver Spring Urban
Renewal Project Area, and to design,
construct, equip, and renovate facilities for
the Silver Spring Revitalization Project,

subject to the requirement that

Montgomery County provide an equal and
matching fund for this project. In addition
to the appropriation on page 16 of the
printed bill (First reading file bill), to
provide a grant to Montgomery County
which may only be used to acquire property
and to design, construct, and renovate
facilities for the Silver Spring Revitalization
Project, subject to the requirement that
Montgomery County provide and expend an
equal and matching fund for this project.
No part of the fund may be provided, either
directly or indirectly, from funds of the
State, whether appropriated or
unappropriated. No part of the fund may
consist of real property, in-kind
contributions, or funds expended prior to
the effective date of this Act. These funds
may not be used to relocate occupants of
structures to be demolished, nor for
attorneys' fees relating to condemnation of
property.
