SECTION 13. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That pursuant to Section
2-103.4(h) of the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland the salary
schedule for the Department of Transportation executive pay plan during Fiscal Year
1996 shall be as set forth below. Adjustments to the salary schedule may be made during
the fiscal year in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-103.4(h) of the
Transportation Article. Notwithstanding the inclusion of salaries for positions which are
determined by agencies with independent salary setting authority in the salary schedule
set forth below, such salaries may be adjusted during the fiscal year in accordance with
such salary setting authority.
Further, it is the intent of the General Assembly that the minimum amount of a
salary increase for an individual promoted to or within the executive pay plan should be
3% and the maximum amount should be 6% unless otherwise approved by the Board of
Public Works.
Further, it is also the intent of the General Assembly that the effective date of an
executive salary adjustment shall not precede the date upon which the Board of Public Works
approved the salary adjustment.
