VETOES

Senate Bill 63, which was passed by the General Assembly and will be signed by me on
May 25, 1995, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to
sign House Bill 54.

AN ACT concerning

Judgeships - Circuit Court - Montgomery County

FOR the purpose of altering the number of judges authorized for the Circuit Court for
Montgomery County; and providing for the effective date of this Act.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
Section 1-503(a)(15)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1989 Replacement Volume and 1994 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

1-503.

(a) In each county in the first seven judicial circuits there shall be the number of
resident judges of the circuit court set forth below, including the judge or judges provided
for by the constitution:

(15) Montgomery.................[15] 16

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1995.
