VETOES

(2) A BANK, TRUST COMPANY, OR SAVINGS BANK AUTHORIZED TO
EXERCISE TRUST POWERS UNDER SUBSECTION (A)(4) OF THIS SECTION SHALL FILE
WITH THE STATE BANK COMMISSIONER, PRIOR TO EXERCISING TRUST POWERS IN
THIS STATE, INFORMATION SUFFICIENT TO IDENTIFY:

(I)      THE CORRECT CORPORATE NAME OF THE BANK, TRUST
COMPANY, OR SAVINGS BANK;

(II)     AN ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER OF A. CONTACT
PERSON FOR THE BANK, TRUST COMPANY, OR SAVINGS BANK;

(III)   A RESIDENT AGENT; AND

(IV)   ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONSIDERED NECESSARY BY
THE BANK COMMISSIONER FOR PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 810.

This bill establishes the Department of Business and Economic Development and the
Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation and abolishes the Department of
Economic and Employment Development and the Department of Licensing and
Regulation.

House Bill 1185, which was passed by the General Assembly and sighed by me on May 9,
1995, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 810.
