VETOES
(II) SHALL DISTRIBUTE 20% OF THE REMAINING REVENUES TO
THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS IN HARFORD COUNTY TO FUND TOURISM
PROMOTION OR TOURISM ATTRACTIONS INCLUDING MUSEUMS, IN THE SAME
PROPORTION THAT REVENUES WHERE RECEIVED FROM HOTELS LOCATED IN
MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS IN HARFORD COUNTY AFTER THE DISTRIBUTION
UNDER PARAGRAPH (I) OF THIS SUBSECTION, SHALL DISTRIBUTE 20% OF THE
REVENUES COLLECTED IN A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION LOCATED IN HARFORD
COUNTY TO THAT MUNICIPAL CORPORATION FOR USE ON TOURISM OR
TOURISM-RELATED PROJECTS; AND
(II) SHALL DEPOSIT ALL REMAINING REVENUES, AFTER THE
DISTRIBUTION UNDER SUBSECTION (A)(1) AND (2) OF THIS SECTION, IN THE
GENERAL FUNDS OF HARFORD COUNTY TO UNDERWRITE HARFORD COUNTY
TOURISM AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
(III) SHALL DISTRIBUTE ALL REMAINING REVENUES AFTER THE
DISTRIBUTIONS UNDER PARAGRAPHS (I) AND (II) OF THIS SUBSECTION TO THE
HARFORD COUNTY TOURISM COUNCIL.
(c) An authorized county shall make the distributions required under this section
between the 15th day and the 30th day of each calendar month.

Unpaid hotel rental tax in a code county, Cecil County, Charles County, Dorchester
County, HARFORD COUNTY, Somerset County, Talbot County, Washington County, and
Wicomico County is a lien against the real and personal property of the person owing the
tax and is collectible in the same manner as the property tax may be collected under the
Tax - Property Article.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, notwithstanding Section 1
of this Act, the governing body of Harford County may not impose a hotel rental tax until
the governing body of Harford County has created the Harford County Tourism Council.
SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1995.

vetoed Senate Bill 170.
This bill requires that an applicant for a nursing license or certificate be of good moral
character. It also specifies that the State Board of Nursing may take disciplinary action if
