(ix) other expenses;

(3)     as to expenditures reported in paragraph (2)(vi) and (vii) of this
subsection, the date, location, and total expense of the regulated lobbyist for the
event or
meeting; and

(4)     the name of each official, employee, or member of the immediate family
of an official or employee, to or for whom, during a reporting period, one or more gifts
with a cumulative value of $75 or more are given, whether or not in connection with
lobbying activities, by the regulated lobbyist or any entity acting on behalf of the regulat
ed
lobbyist, subject to th
e following:

(i) except as provided in item (ii) of this paragraph, gifts totaling loss
than $15 in a cal
endar day need not be counted toward the cumulative value of $75;

(ii) if the cumulative value of $75 is reached, each subsequent gift of
$10 or mor
e shall be itemized by date, beneficiary, value, and nature of the gift; and

(iii) except as provided in paragraph (2)(vii)2 of this subsection,
expens
es reported in paragraph (2)(vi) and (vii) of this subsection need not be allocated
to an individual.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

(House Bill 70)

AN ACT concerning

Local Government - Residency Requirements - Prohibition

FOR the purpose of prohibiting Baltimore City, each county, and each municipal
corporation, and certain regional agencies from requiring an employee to reside
within a specified area as a condition of employment; prohibiting discrimination
between residents and other citizens of the State in specified employment decisions;
allowing certain preferences in accordance with a local merit system; excluding
elected officials, department heads, and administrators from the prohibition
concerning residency requirements; and generally prohibiting local governments
relating to prohibiting local governments and regional agencies from discriminating
between residents and other citizens of the State in specified employment decisions.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
