(2) THE RIGHT OF AN INDIVIDUAL TO PROVIDE VOCATIONAL
REHABILITATION SERVICES AS AUTHORIZED UNDER TITLE
9, SUBTITLE 6 OF THE LABOR
AND EMPLOYMENT ARTICLE;

(3) THE EMPLOYMENT RELATED ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES OF AN
INDIVIDUAL WHO IS EMPLOYED BY AN ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE PROGRAM OR
FACILITY THAT IS ACCREDITED BY THE JOINT COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION OF
HEALTH CARE ORGANIZATIONS OR THAT IS CERTIFIED UNDER TITLE 8, SUBTITLE 4 OF
THE HEALTH - GENERAL ARTICLE; OR

(4) THE NONPROFIT ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES OF A BONA FIDE RELIGIOUS
ORGANIZATION THAT IS EXEMPT FROM TAXATION UNDER § 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL
REVENUE CODE.

[(2) The right of an individual who is a member of a recognized profession to
provide services consistent with the training and ethical standards of the individual's
profession.

(c) (1) On the petition of any person or on the Director's own initiative, the
Director of Mental Hygiene may determine whether an occupation or profession qualifies
as a recognized profession under this section.

(2) A determination by the Director of Mental Hygiene is not required for
an occupation or profession to qualify as a recognized profession under this section.]

18-301.

(a)     Except as otherwise provided in this section, an individual shall be licensed by
the Board before the individual may practice psychology in this State.

(b)     Subject to the rules and regulations of the Board, this section does not apply
to:

(1) The activities and services of, and the use of an official title by an
individual employed by any agency of the federal government, this State, or any political
subdivision of this State, or a chartered educational [or charitable] institution while
performing the duties of that employment;

(2) THE EDUCATION-RELATED SERVICES DESCRIBED IN REGULATIONS
ADOPTED BY THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION THAT ARE PERFORMED BY A
CERTIFIED SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST:

(I) WHILE PERFORMING THE DUTIES OF EMPLOYMENT OF THE
CERTIFIED SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST; OR

(II) WHILE CONDUCTING STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING
WORKSHOPS FOR COMPENSATION.

(2) (3) The activities and services of a student, intern, resident or fellow
while pursuing a supervised course of study in psychology that the Board approves as
qualifying training and experience under this title;
