transportation of individuals with disabilities.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

Harness Racing - Takeout

FOR the purpose of altering the breakpoint in an average handle for determining the
distribution of the takeout in harness racing; and generally relating to the takeout in
harness racing.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Business Regulation

11-101.

(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.

(t) "Takeout" means the part of the handle that is not returned to successful
bettors but is otherwise allocated under this title.

11-601.

In this subtitle, "average handle" means the daily average amount bet in a year.
