"REGULATED LOBBYIST" MEANS AN ENTITY THAT IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER
WITH THE ETHICS COMMISSION PURSUANT TO § 15-701(A) OF THIS TITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 40A, § 1-201(cc).

In this revised Title 15, the term "regulated lobbyist" is substituted for the
former term "registrant" as being a more descriptive term. As with the former
term "registrant", "regulated lobbyist" includes persons described in the
former defined term "lobbyist", which is deleted as surplusage.

Also in this subsection, the word "entity" is substituted for the former word
"person" in recognition of the regulation of governmental entities that employ
individuals for lobbying.

(HH) RESPONDENT.

"RESPONDENT" MEANS ANY OF THE FOLLOWING THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A
COMPLAINT BEFORE THE ETHICS COMMISSION:

(1)     AN OFFICIAL;

(2)     AN EMPLOYEE;

(3)     A CANDIDATE FOR OFFICE AS A STATE OFFICIAL;

(4)     AN ENTITY SUBJECT TO SUBTITLE 7 OF THIS TITLE; OR

(5)     AN ENTITY SUBJECT TO § 15-508 OF THIS TITLE.

BALTIMORE CITY, THE BOARD OF SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS.
