1995 LAWS OF MARYLAND

State Police as a principal department of State government by Chs. 165 and
166, Acts of 1994, to reflect the status of the head of the Department as a
Secretary of a principal department of State government, and to delete surplus
language.

18-204.

The [Superintendent] SECRETARY shall pay all money collected under this title
into the General Fund of the State.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

This section is amended to reflect the status of the head of the Department of
State Police as the Secretary of a principal department of State government in
light of Chs. 165 and 166, Acts of 1994.

18-301.

(a)     Except as otherwise provided in this title, a person shall be licensed by the
[Superintendent] SECRETARY as a security systems technician before the person may
engage in the business of providing security systems services in the State.

(b)     A person who sells security systems at the protected premises or the premises
to be protected but does not install, maintain, or repair those systems:

(1)     is not required to be licensed under this title; but

(2)     is required to:

(i) register with the [Superintendent] SECRETARY once every 2

years;
requires; and

(ii) provide the information the [Superintendent] SECRETARY

(iii) pay a fee of $15.
DRAFTER'S NOTE:

This section is amended to reflect the status of the head of the Department of
State Police as the Secretary of a principal department of State government in
light of Chs. 165 and 166, Acts of 1994.

18-302.

(b) The applicant shall meet any other requirements that the [Superintendent]
SECRETARY establishes for license applicants.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Subsection (b) of this section is amended to reflect the status of the head of
the Department of State Police as the Secretary of a principal department of
State government in light of Chs. 165 and 166, Acts of 1994.
