Ch. 445

(ii) In Washington County, after a chief judge or judge has received a
course of instruction in poll working he shall be eligible for additional compensation if
approved by the board and provided in the county budget.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to Article III,
Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may not be construed to extend or
apply to the salary or compensation of an election judge in Prince George's County in
office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary
or compensation of an election judge in Prince George's County shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning

Recovery by Minor in Tort - Trust Assets

FOR the purpose of allowing a trustee for a minor who recovers in tort to invest or
reinvest the proceeds of the check in certain obligations; allowing a broker or dealer
to reinvest the
reinvestment of certain trust assets in a certain manner; imposing a
certain limit on the amount of trust assets that may be invested in certain money
market funds; and generally relating to trust assets of a minor who recovers in tort.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 13-404
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1991 Replacement Volume and 1994 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Estates and Trusts

13-404.

(a)     The trustee need not give bond.

(b)     (1) A trustee who receives a check under § 13-403 of this subtitle shall:

(i) Subject to paragraph (3) of this subsection, deposit the check in
any financial institution as defined in § 13-301 of this title; or
