and that court shall conduct a hearing at which you would be given [any] AN opportunity
to be heard as to the reasons for your refusal to obey this subpoena. Following such a
hearing, the court may compel you to obey this subpoena."

C.      A subpoena may be issued under this section only if signed by at least three
[(3)] Ethics Commission members.

D.      (1) Each subpoena may be served in the same manner as if issued from a
circuit court.

(2)     If any person fails to obey a subpoena lawfully served under this section,
the Commission may immediately report the disobedience and provide a copy of the
subpoena and proof of service to the circuit court for Charles County.

(3)     The court shall conduct a hearing and may grant appropriate relief after
providing the person who allegedly failed to comply with the subpoena, an opportunity to
be heard.

(4)     Nothing contained in this section is intended to allow the contravention,
denial, or abrogation of any privilege or right recognized by law.

54-9.

D. In the event that any active volunteer becomes disabled during the course of
service as a volunteer fireman or rescue squadman while actively engaged in providing
such services and in the event that the disability prevents the volunteer from pursuing the
volunteer's normal occupation and that the disability is of a permanent nature as certified
by the [Maryland Workmen's] STATE WORKERS' Compensation Commission or other
competent medical authority as designated by the County Commissioners, then the
volunteer is entitled to receive the benefits prescribed in Subsection B of this section and
any other benefits, regardless of age or length of service. These benefits shall begin on the
first day of the first month following the establishment of the permanency of the
disability.

58-1.

A. (1) As used in this chapter, the following [terms shall] WORDS have the
meanings indicated [:].

(2)      [GARBAGE - The] "GARBAGE" MEANS THE entrails or waste
products of any animal, fish or fowl; refuse; animal or vegetable matter from a kitchen,
market, store or abattoir; or any admixture of these materials with other refuse or feeding
material.

(3)     [TRASH - Includes] "TRASH" INCLUDES all waste or refuse other
than garbage and ashes.
