SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall be construed
retroactively and shall be applied to and interpreted to affect any payments of retirement
allowances on or after October 1, 1994.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.

AN ACT concerning

Property Tax - Disabled Veterans - Refunds

FOR the purpose of authorizing collectors of State and county property taxes requiring
the governing body of Baltimore City to grant refunds under certain conditions of
property taxes paid for certain tax years by certain disabled veterans, veterans;
altering the requirements that must be met for surviving spouses of disabled
veterans to receive a certain property tax exemption in a certain subdivision;
requiring counties to include certain information about a certain property tax
exemption on the property tax bill; and generally relating to the property tax
exemption for property of disabled veterans and their spouses.
