Ch. 352

(e)     "Rating organization" means any organization or person licensed under §
242(g) of this article.

(f)      "Supplementary rate information" includes any manual or plan of rates,
statistical plan, classification, rating schedule, minimum premium policy fee, rating rule,
rate-related underwriting rule, and any other information, not otherwise inconsistent
with the purposes of this subtitle, prescribed by rule of the Commissioner.

(g)     "Provision for claim payment" means an estimate expressed as per unit of
exposure basis for the monetary amount ultimately to be needed to pay workers'
compensation insurance claims, excluding all loss adjustment or claim management
expenses, other operating expenses, assessments, taxes, and profit or contingency
allowances.

(h) "Net investment income" means earnings and gains from investment activities
net of related expenses as reported to the Commissioner under § 58 of this article minus
current investment expenses and moneys due and accrued from the preceding year.

Notwithstanding § 242 of this article, this subtitle applies to [workers']:

(1) WORKERS' compensation and employer's liability insurance written in
conn
ection with workers' compensation; AND

(2) PRIVATE PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE.

Notwithstanding § 242 of this article, this subtitle applies to [workers' compensation and
employer's liability insurance written in connection with workers' compensation.] THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF RATES FOR ALL TYPES OF INSURANCE EXCEPT:

(1)     LIFE INSURANCE;

(2)    ANNUITIES:

(3)    ACCIDENT INSURANCE AND HEALTH INSURANCE;

(4)    MARINE INSURANCE DESCRIBED IN § 242(B) (2) OF THIS ARTICLE;

(5)    AIRCRAFT INSURANCE DESCRIBED IN § 242(B)(3) OF THIS ARTICLE;

(6)    REINSURANCE;

(7) INSURANCE PROVIDED UNDER THE MARYLAND AUTOMOBILE
INSURANCE FUND OR THE INJURED WORKERS' INSURANCE FUND;

(8) TITLE INSURANCE;

(9) MEDICAL MALPRACTICE INSURANCE;

(10) ANY FORM OR PLAN OF INSURANCE REGULATED UNDER § 231 OF THIS
ARTICLE; AND
