Ch. 351                                    1995 LAWS OF MARYLAND

FOR the purpose of requiring that certain applications filed in District Court that request
that a stat
ement of charges be filed against certain public school personnel for
certain alleged criminal offenses be immediately forwarded to the State's Attorney;
requiring the State's Attorney to investigate c
ertain matters and to make certain
r
ecommendations; prohibiting the filing of a statement of charges against certain
public school p
ersonnel for certain alleged criminal offenses unless the State's
Attorney has conducted certain investigations and made certain recommendations;
establishing that this Act may not be construed to preclude the State's Attorney
from making c
ertain determinations regarding the filing of an information or the
convening of a grand jury; requiring that any criminal charges against c
ertain public
school personnel for certain alleged offenses be brought in accordance with this
Act; d
efining a certain term, providing for the application of this Act; and generally
relating to District Court charging documents and public school personnel.
