(5) Prior to the issuance of the bonds, the grantee shall present to the Board of Public
Works evidence, acceptable to the Board, that the grantee has complied with all relevant
provisions of the Maryland Youth Camp Act, Title 14, Subtitle 4 of the Health - General
Article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1995.

(House Bill 1347)

AN ACT concerning

Health Care Access and Cost Commission - Modifications and Clarifications

FOR the purpose of making certain corrective changes to provisions of law governing the
Health Care Access and Cost Commission enacted by Chapter 9 of the Acts of 1993;
changing certain development and implementation dates related to the medical care
data base, electronic claim clearinghouses, and payment system, and HMO quality
evaluation
; modifying the method of calculating the payment system
reimbursement; correcting certain terms; and generally relating to the Health Care
Access and Cost Commission.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Health - General
Section 19-1507, 19-1508, and 19-1509
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1990 Replacement Volume and 1994 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health - General

19-1507.

(a)     The Commission shall establish a Maryland medical care data base to compile
statewide data on health services rendered by health care practitioners and office
facilities selected by the Commission.

(b)     In addition to any other information the Commission may require by
regulation, the medical care data base shall:

(1) Collect for each type of patient encounter with a health care practitioner
or office facility designated by the Commission:

(i) The demographic characteristics of the patient;
