AN ACT concerning

Calvert County - Property Tax Credit - Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department and

Rescue Squad

FOR the purpose of authorizing the governing body of Calvert County to grant, by law, a
property tax credit against real property that is owned by the Huntingtown
Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Incorporated and leased to the
United States Postal Service for use as a post office.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

9-306.

(D) THE GOVERNING BODY OF CALVERT COUNTY MAY GRANT, BY LAW, A
PROPERTY TAX CREDIT UNDER THIS SECTION AGAINST THE COUNTY PROPERTY
TAX IMPOSED ON REAL PROPERTY THAT IS:

(1)      OWNED BY THE HUNTINGTOWN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
AND RESCUE SQUAD, INCORPORATED; AND

(2)      LEASED TO THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE FOR USE AS A
POST OFFICE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1995.
