8-107.

(b) The surviving spouse of a State employee who died while employed by this
State may enroll and participate in the health insurance benefit options established under
the Program as long as the surviving spouse is receiving an allowance under § 27-403 AND
Title 29, Subtitle 2 of this article.

8-108.

(a) (4) "State service" means service with this State by:

(ii) [a judge while] a member of the Judges' Retirement System
under Title 27 of this article;

Occurred: Ch. 468, Acts of 1994.
9-402.

(a)     An appointing authority may suspend [a classified service] AN employee for
disciplinary purposes.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Incorrect terminology in § 9-402(a) of the State Personnel and
Pensions Article.

Occurred: Ch. 467, Acts of 1994, which changed the scope of Title 9, Subtitle
4 of the State Personnel and Pensions Article, failed to make corresponding
changes in various sections contained in that subtitle.

9-404.

(b)     A suspended [classified service] employee or a representative of the
employee may submit a written appeal of a disciplinary suspension:

(1)     within 3 workdays after receipt of a notice of suspension, to the head of
the employee's principal department or other independent unit; or

(2)     (i) except for an employee of the Department of Personnel, within 5
workdays after receipt of a notice of suspension, to the Secretary in accordance with
regulations adopted by the Secretary; or
