40.01.01                              OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY

(A)    Juvenile Services Facilities. Provide grants to acquire, design,
construct, renovate, and equip residential and non-residential
facilities. The funds appropriated for this purpose shall be
administered in accordance with Sections 4-101 through 4-106 of
Article 83C - Juvenile Services (Statewide), provided that funds
may be expended only for the following two projects:

(1)     The Baptist Home for Children and Families (Montgomery County);
and

(2)     The Tri-County Youth Services Bureau (St. Mary's County) .............

(B) Juvenile Justice Capital Projects Fund. Provide funds to acquire,
design, construct, renovate, and equip proposed projects of the
Department of Juvenile Services. Expenditures for any of the
following projects may not exceed the amount listed below for that
project by more than 7.5% without notification to the General
Assembly. Expenditure of any part of this appropriation for a
project not listed below shall also require notification to the
