(a) (1) Except as otherwise provided under [Title 10, Subtitle 4] § 10-226 of the
State Government Article, before the Board takes any action to deny a certificate or to
reject or modify a job description, the Board shall give the applicant or certificate holder
the opportunity for a hearing before the Board.

(a)     (1) Except as otherwise provided under [Title 10, Subtitle 4] § 10-226 of the

subtitle, the Board shall give the individual against whom the action is contemplated an
opportunity for a hearing before a hearing officer.

COUNSELOR-MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPISTS"; and
