The Authority is exempt:

(b)     (3) Except as provided in paragraph (5) of this subsection or otherwise by
law, the Secretary shall appoint and remove all other staff in accordance with the
provisions of the State Personnel AND PENSIONS Article that govern classified service
employees.

4-301.

(k) "Person in interest" means:

(6) An attorney appointed in writing by a person listed in [paragraphs]
PARAGRAPH (1), (2), (3), (4), or (5) of this subsection.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Printing error in § 4-301(k)(6) of the Health - General Article.

Occurred: The printing error occurred in the 1991 Cumulative Supplement
to the 1990 Replacement Volume of the Health - General Article and was
carried forward in subsequent chapter law.

4-304.

(c)     (1) The provisions of this subsection do not apply to x-rays.

(2) A health care provider may require a person in interest or any other
authorized person who requests a copy of a medical record to pay the cost of copying:

(i) For State facilities regulated by the Department of Health and
Mental Hygiene, as provided in § 10-621 of the State Government Article; or
