AN ACT concerning

Interagency Committee on Aging Services - Membership

FOR the purpose of expanding the membership of the State Interagency Committee on
Aging Services by adding the Director of the Governor's Office for Individuals with
Disabilities; and generally relating to the composition of the Interagency Committee
on Aging Services.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 70B - Office on Aging
Section 4B(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 70B - Office on Aging

4B.

(a) The Interagency Committee on Aging Services consists of the following
members:

(1)     The Director of the Office on Aging;

(2)     The Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene;

(3)     The Secretary of Human Resources;

(4)     The Secretary of Transportation;

(5)     The Secretary of Housing and Community Development;

(6)     The Secretary of Economic and Employment Development;

(7)     THE DIRECTOR OF THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR INDIVIDUALS
WITH DISABILITIES;

[(7)] (8) A representative from a local area agency on aging to be appointed
by the Governor from a list submitted by the Maryland Association of Area Agencies on
Aging; and

[(8)] (9) A member of the general public to be appointed by the Governor.
