14-104.

(b) (2) Subject to Title 10, Subtitle 5 of the State Government Article
("[Open] Meetings"), the Board may adopt rules and regulations and prescribe policies
and procedures for the management, maintenance, operation, and control of the
University.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Incorrect cross-reference in § 14-104(b)(2) of the Education Article.

Occurred: Ch. 485, Acts of 1994.

14-1A-03.

The President may delegate to the Office of Administrative Hearings the authority
to conduct a hearing and issue a proposed decision for approval by the Secretary of
Personnel in any of the following:

(1)     An appeal under § 14-lA-04(b) of this subtitle from a rejection of a
classified employee during probation that results from a promotion;

(2)     An appeal under § 14-1A-05 of this subtitle from charges for removal of
a classified employee;

(3)     A preliminary hearing under § 14-1A-06 of this subtitle on the
suspension of a classified employee pending removal;

(4)     An appeal under § 14-1A-07 of this subtitle from the disciplinary
suspension of a classified employee; and

(5)     An appeal under § 14-1A-08 of this subtitle from the proposed
demotion of a classified employee.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Stylistic error in § 14-1A-03 of the Education Article.

Occurred: Ch. 485, Acts of 1994. Correction by the Michie Company in the
1994 Cumulative Supplement of the Education Article is validated by this Act.

14-202.

(b) (1) The Board of Trustees consists of [25] 26 members.

(2) Of the [25] 26 members:

(i) 23 members shall be appointed by the Governor upon the
recommendation of the Board of Trustees, with the advice and consent of the Senate;

(ii) 1 member shall be the Chairman of the Historic St. Mary's City
Commission, or the Chairman's designee; [and]
