Ch. 36

1995 LAWS OF MARYLAND

Subsections (b), (c), (d), (e), and (f) of this section are new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 48A, § 178(1) and the first,
second, third, fourth, and sixth sentences of. (3) and, as it related to a
certificate of completion, the fifth sentence of (3).

In subsection (e) of this section, the phrase "at least" is added for clarity.

As to the deletion, in subsection (f) of this section, of the former reference to
"rules", see the General Revisor's Note to this article.

The Insurance Article Review Committee notes, for consideration by the
General Assembly, that this section does not provide for an examination fee,
such as that provided by § 10-108 of this subtitle for examinations for
insurance other than life insurance, health insurance, or annuities. In practice,
applicants do pay an examination fee. The General Assembly may wish to
consider adding an examination fee to this section.
